About Us
The JAI DURGA TEMPLE PERTH is a Hindu Temple dedicated to practice, preserve, and teach the spiritual traditions of the Great Mother Goddess, Durga.
The Sanskrit word “Maa” stands for mother, and Shakti—from the root śak, “to be able”—is sacred force or empowerment: the primordial cosmic energy that moves through the universe. Shakti is the personification of divine feminine creative power, often revered as the Great Divine Mother in Hinduism.
Jai Maa Durga Temple Trust was formed in 2021 to conduct religious activities just as in our homeland.
For the first time in Perth (Western Australia), Maa Bhagwati Chowki was performed on 19 September 2021, organised by Jai Maa Durga Temple Perth.
To Promote Our Religion
Jai Maa Durga Temple Perth was started to preach and practice Hindu Dharma, keeping our children connected to sanskaar and sanskriti far from home. Our priest conducts various Poojas and celebrations, sharing spiritual guidance in Hindi, English, and other Indian languages.
Brief History about the Temple
JAI MAA DURGA TEMPLE was established in 2021 with the divine blessings of Mata Vaishno Devi. The temple functions under Jai Maa Durga Temple Trust as a non-profit organisation serving religious, cultural, and community needs.
